My baby boy loves bath time! Especially when he has time to soak and kick his feet in the water. Lately, I’ve been adding milk to his bath and we’re loving the results.
I add powdered butter milk and the leftover breast milk from his bottles. I purchased the powdered butter milk from Klassy Kares. This powered milk has added oats and smells just like oats and honey. Can you imagine the aroma.. oats, milk, and honey.. we love this stuff but besides the scent, milk baths have a lot of benefits for both child and parent.
A breast milk bath can help treat skin issues because breast milk is full of properties that nourish, protect, and heal both the inside and outside of your baby.
Milk baths help with skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, and dry skin. If you have dry skin, milk contains proteins, fats, vitamins, minerals, and lactic acid. Proteins and fat can help soften and soothe your skin. And lactic acid is a gentle exfoliator. Exfoliation is very important for getting rid of dead skin cells.
If you have sensitive skin, avoid taking too many milk baths. Also avoid if you have a high fever and if you’re pregnant consult with your doctor first.
